Engine Output
The Ferrari 296 GTB produces a total of 818 hp and 546 lb-ft, with 654 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque coming from a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 and an additional 165 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque coming from two YASA MGU-K dual-rotor single-stator axial flux motors. That power is channeled through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, while a 7.45-kWh lithium-ion battery stores energy for use by the electric motors.
Ferrari claims that this hybrid powertrain is able to offer performance on par with larger engines, and the raw numbers don’t lie: the 296 GTB has a top speed of 205 mph, and is able to jump from a standstill to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. The fact that it can travel 15.5 miles on electric power alone is a bonus.
In some ways, the 296 GTB is like a smaller version of the SF90 Stradale in terms of its engine, size, and styling. Given the SF90’s stunning specs, that’s not a bad comparison at all!
